The intimate room at Yileena Park is ideal for enjoying a solo instrumentalist. This year the violin has been chosen to entertain the guests. The elevated balcony lets you overlook the vines where your wine came from while enjoying the fine afternoon tea and timeless music.
Jonathan Dreyfus is a Melbourne violinist who brings an unusual combination of musical loves to his instrument. Jonathan was born in 1987 to composer George Dreyfus and musicologist Kay Dreyfus, and he wasted no time following his parents into the field. Giving his first public performance at age 3 (as a narrator), at age 5 he began studying the violin. At 15 Jonathan began composing, and today he lends his unmistakably quirky compositional voice to films, commercials and pop orchestration. He has extended his instrumental range to the viola, double bass, guitar and piano.
