Take a stroll with Jan Williams through the gardens which were developed by CJ Dennis and his wife using semi-formal shrubs and European trees surrounded by lush native forest. Here you can take in the poetry in the setting in which it was written and then enjoy a Devonshire Tea with freshly cooked, hot, homemade scones in the charming tearoom.
The Singing Gardens of CJ Dennis, at Toolangi, is the only property that CJ Dennis ever owned. Finish the journey with a tour through the gardens which are full of stories and inspiration behind one of Australia’s greatest poets.
